Handcrafted in Oregon by Blacksmith Peter Clark

I am the sole craftsman behind Northwest Skillet Company. I create each piece by hand in the blacksmith's shop at Homestead Springs Farm & Forge in Northeast Oregon along the Oregon Trail. My work is unique in combining the age old arts of blacksmithing and metal spinning to bring you pans and utensils with unsurpassed performance, design and craftsmanship.

The 10" saute pan is excellent - great craftsmanship, holds heat, easy to clean. I also added the left-handed steak turner to use on my smoker - finding something left-handed is a real treat.First saw their products in Walla Walla WA; then met them at the art show in Portland. Wonderful folks, easy to work with and would definitely purchase from them again.

The fry pans are truly unbelievable. I ordered both sizes and they arrived this morning while I was halfway through cooking pancakes for the family. I immediately switched pans and the cook with the carbon was so amazing; absolutely in love, lol. Then for lunch I cooked grilled cheese and fried some veggies. So impressed with how well the cook is and the beauty of the pans. After eating lunch I ordered they chef’s pan and the 10” sauté pan. I have finally found pans that are truly perfect, thanks so much.

The skillets and sauce pans are truly amazing. Old world craftsmanship is hard to find and they have nailed it. I started with the chef's pan and griddle and eventually bought just about everything they make. These will be handed down to my kids one day.

Wow, what a nice pan! I ruined the nice blue finish immediately by cooking apples and burning them in the pan (totally forgot they were on the stove). It pained me because it was such a beautiful blue. Had to use steel wool to get the burnt bits out. But no worries! Even though the burnt apples left kind of a leopard pattern inside the pan, it was still smooth to the touch. Since then I've cooked all kinds of vegetables, made a dutch baby pancake, and seared some steaks in it. Everything came out perfect. My husband thinks I'm imagining it but as the cook of the house, I REALLY think things (especially veggies) taste better coming out of this pan. The dark finish is actually starting to come back the more I use it. I love how easy it is to care for it and never having to worry about the inside of the pan chipping, plus things don't stick. I hesitated before buying because of the price but now having experienced the quality, it's absolutely worth it! Saving up to buy the chef's pan.

Great wedding gift! Peter and Sue's handforged skillets are tremendous for both personal use and as meaningful gifts. I use the carbon steel skillets for my own use in the kitchen and have enjoyed giving the skillets to newlyweds who value cooking and appreciate their handcrafted, regional origin story. Thank you!

My 8” sauté pan is far and beyond my favorite go-to pan! I look for things to cook just so I can use it. I was at first skeptical of the maintenance it would require and then found out there isn’t anything to it! Wash with hot water, nothing sticks to it that won’t easily wipe out, dry, a dab of oil wiped around and it’s done-less time than rinsing and loading a pan into a dishwasher. It is worth the extra money for something of quality that will last a lifetime. It makes me happy to know my daughter in law will enjoy it and think of me when she acquires it.Peter and Sue are the most gracious and attentive artists and support people on the planet.

These pans are amazing! I bought some a few years ago and was delighted to find Northwest Skillet Company at an art fair again so I could buy a few more pans! They heat up quickly and do a better job of browning vegetables and meat than any other pans I've used. They aren't heavy and there is no coating to flake off. LOVE THEM!
