Skills Taught: drawing out, tapering, riveting, finishing, copper techniques: cutting, dishing & annealing
Class Size: 5 students
Class Level: Beginner, 14 yrs and up. Participants ages 14-17  yrs must be accompanied by a legal guardian who is also registered for the class.

How to Register
Add the class fee to your cart using the menu below and complete the check out process to reserve your spot. The total class fee is $120 (includes materials).

Refund Policy: 100% refund with at least 30 days notice, 50% refund with at least 14 days notice. No refund with less than 14 days notice. If class does not fill we reserve the right to cancel and issue a full refund.

If the class is full feel free to send us an email at fireartsblacksmithingschool@gmail.com to request a spot on the waiting list. You will be contacted if space opens up.

PLEASE NOTE:

The roll up door will remain open during class to provide plenty of ventilation. There will be lots of fresh air circulation in the shop so please dress in layers for your comfort.

Please show consideration for your fellow students by staying home if you have any symptoms of cold or flu.

SHOP WEAR & PERSONAL SAFETY EQUIPMENT

Safety equipment to bring:
Safety glasses (mandatory), also recommended over prescription glasses
Ear protection
Leather gloves (optional)
Leather apron (optional)

Attire
Clothing should be cotton or wool. No synthetics like windbreakers or nylon pants.
Leather shoes.
No loose fitting clothing.
Long hair must be tied back.

Bring your own water bottle, lunch and snacks as needed.

This book is recommended for anyone becoming serious about blacksmithing. It is project based and takes a deep dive into basic blacksmithing techniques.
