Project: Trivet
This class is a great introduction to blacksmithing and results in a useful piece you’ll be proud to use at home. Step by step, you’ll be guided through the process of making a sturdy trivet while learning core forging skills along the way.
We’ll cover how to punch and open a hole, shape and fit simple joints, form rivets, and bend the arms to their final shape. No prior experience is required—just curiosity and a willingness to try something new.
You’ll leave with a finished trivet and a solid introduction to basic blacksmithing techniques.
Class Size: 5 students
Class Level: Beginner, 14 yrs and up. Participants ages 14-17 yrs must be accompanied by a legal guardian who is also registered for the class.
Prerequisites: None. This is a class for complete beginners with no experience or for those that want to brush up on basic skills.

Refund Policy: Eligible refunds will be issued as website credit according to the schedule outlined below. Monetary refunds may also be requested minus a 5% service fee.
Refund schedule: 100% refund with at least 30 days notice, 50% refund with at least 14 days notice. No refund with less than 14 days notice. If class does not fill we reserve the right to cancel and issue a full refund as a website credit.

PLEASE NOTE:
The roll up door will remain open during class to provide plenty of ventilation. There will be lots of fresh air circulation in the shop so please dress in layers for your comfort.
